GTA 6 Beginner Guide — 15 Things the Game Never Tells You
GTA 6 hides a lot of its most useful systems behind menus and side conversations. These fifteen tips will save any new player hours of frustration in the first week.
Turn off aim smoothing
Default aim smoothing is heavy for controller players. Dropping it to 15 percent makes the first-person cover shootouts play the way the trailers looked.
Use the phone camera
In-game photos taken with the phone unlock the community feed side missions. The tutorial never mentions this and most players miss the whole quest line.
Save before entering a store
Store robberies now auto-save on entry, so if the robbery goes sideways you cannot reload. Manual save before you push the door.
Rebind melee
The default melee binding shares a button with the phone. Rebinding it to the stick click prevents accidental pickups in a fight.
