GTA 6 Weapons Tier List — Every Gun Ranked for PvE and Online
The GTA 6 weapon sandbox is wider than V but also more balanced. Some guns look strong on paper and fall apart once recoil and reload kick in. This ranking is based on time-to-kill, handling, and mission viability.
S-tier — the meta picks
The Carbine Mk III, the Sweeper shotgun and the new Marksman DMR sit above everything else. Each one has a clean recoil pattern, reasonable magazine size, and enough damage falloff range to work in every mission type.
A-tier — situational monsters
The SMG Compact shreds in close-range convenience store work, and the Heavy Sniper still one-shots armor. Both are S-tier in the right hands but demand map awareness.
Weapons to skip
The Pump Shotgun and the base Pistol are outclassed by their upgrade tiers within the first two story missions. Do not spend money on attachments for either.
Attachment priority
Extended mags first, suppressor second, scope last. Suppressor delays the police heat tier ramp by roughly 6 seconds, which is worth more than raw damage.
